Legendary Team: Gunston cars

You can’t talk about South African motorsport history without mentioning the legendary Team Gunston cars.

 Here is Guy Tunmer perfectly positioning his Lotus 72 during the Rand Winter Trophy at Kyalami back in July 1975.

The Lotus 72 is widely regarded as one of the most iconic F1 designs ever built, but seeing it finished in that famous local orange-and-brown livery is something really special. Ben van Rensburg captured this one beautifully as Tunmer sweeps past the barriers, with a classic Lucky Strike sign visible on the hill behind him.
